Magic. Pure magic is how I would describe our weekend trip to Nashville; the place we got engaged! My heart could literally burst from how loved I’m feeling. Thank you so much for all of the love & well-wishes on social media. I couldn’t be more grateful for the people in my life & how much LOVE there is. I’ve been sitting on this blog post for a few weeks now, but it’s been so fun to celebrate our engagement with my friends & family. I wanted to share our engagement story with you, too!

I knew it would happen that weekend; I just had a feeling. I spent a few weeks before we went hoping that I was right, & trying to bring myself down to Earth in case it didn’t happen that weekend.
We landed in Nashville at 7 am, & headed right to The Greenhouse Bar for breakfast. This bar is so beautiful & if you’re ever in town you HAVE to check it out (get the breakfast grilled cheese!!). We had the entire place to ourselves, with the prettiest fairy lights & plants around us, & that’s where John asked me to spend forever with him! I tried to freeze time in that moment; I’ll never forget the feeling: the man I love, asking me to be his wife.
We spent the weekend celebrating, staring at each other saying “We’re getting married??” & feeling so much love from each other & our family & friends.

I’m so happy! John & I have been together for 5 and a half years; we’ve experienced quite a bit of things together, good & bad. I couldn’t be more thrilled to spend forever with him as his wife! This feels like a really special time in our lives right now.
A few other highlights from our trip, in case you go to Nashville anytime soon:
- Dinner at The Yellow Porch was INCREDIBLE. Easily one of my favorite meals I’ve ever had!
- Drinks at HQ Beercade- This was a very cool, laid back spot for pre-dinner drinks!
- Centennial Park-Such a pretty park! I made John listen to Taylor Swift’s Invisible String while we were there.
I hope you’re having a great week!
Love,
Danielle
